Get your shop running on RVDesk.
Training at RVDesk is two things: eight short getting-started articles you can work through on your own, and a walkthrough with the RVDesk team on the phone. Below that, where each person in the shop should start.
The getting-started path
Do these in order. Each one names the exact menus to open, in RVDesk’s own labels.
Open the help centerSet up with the RVDesk team
Call or text the team and we’ll walk through setting up your shop with you. You’ll talk to the people who build RVDesk.
If it’s easier to show than to tell, the team can sign in to your account while you’re on the phone. Each visit lasts up to an hour, and every one is listed for you to see.
Where to start, by role
Everyone in the shop signs in with their own login, and each role sees a different part of RVDesk.
Owner
Owner login
Set the shop up once, then hand the day-to-day to your team. A few of these only the owner can do.
Service advisor
Service Advisor login
The counter: opening work orders, getting estimates approved and keeping customers in the loop by text.
- Create your first work order
- Build an estimate and send it for approval
- Text a customer and see their replies
- Order parts for a job with a purchase order
Creating and receiving purchase orders, invoicing and recording payments are owner and manager tasks.
Technician
Technician login
Technicians work from a phone or tablet in the bay. The one thing to learn first is timing their jobs.
Bookkeeper
Accountant login
The Accountant login opens the money side only: Dashboard, Reports, Invoices, Expenses and Payroll & Time.
Reports and payroll don’t have help articles yet. The RVDesk team can walk you through them on the phone.
